Temporal AI Presence Profile v1.0

Abstract

Temporal AI Presence (TAP) is an architectural category for AI systems whose primary operational unit is sustained bounded participation across time rather than a single answer, task, session, or model invocation. This v1.0 profile defines the TAP taxonomy, memory and tool classes, background-processing, cloud-oracle, multi-agent, L4, witness, and pause/revoke boundaries, together with a T01–T10 conformance and evidence framework. Temporal AI Presence is not c by default. A c-class system is the stricter anchored, governed, L4-bound form of Temporal AI Presence. All valid c-class systems are Temporal AI Presences; not all Temporal AI Presences are c-class systems. The release includes the canonical human-readable profile in PDF and Markdown, machine-readable JSON and JSON Schema, provenance records, evidence matrices, implementation crosswalks, public-safe validation evidence, package manifests, and cryptographic checksums. TAP-T03 remains partial with an explicit deployment-external boundary. Repository-owned background surfaces have been classified with zero unresolved rows under the stated discovery model, but production activation state, external orchestrators, production pause/revoke enforcement, and deployment-level witness activation are not fully verified.
