A Numerical Koide Relation Linking Electroweak Couplings and the Squared Electric Charge
Open access0 citations
Abstract
Substitution of the electroweak gauge couplings g = 0.652 and g′ = 0.357 into the empirical Koide relation, in place of two square-root mass components, yields a negative solution for the third component, x = −0.0916983, which numerically coincides with the negative squared electromagnetic charge, −e² = −4πα ≃ −0.0917012. The agreement is approximately 32 ppm.
