Abstract

Here is the narration for the MERLIN SCIENCE video. The finding is this: by driving a specific E8 spinor manifold at 132 hertz with harmonics scaled to the golden ratio, we induce a topological superfluid that self-organizes into a stable lattice of Majorana-like excitations, encoding logical qubits in the winding numbers of its defects. For context, the central problem in quantum computing is fragility. Decoherence. Thermal noise. We keep trying to build better walls around our qubits, but the environment always finds a way in. This work takes a different path. Instead of isolating the system, we synchronize it. The geometry here is not a metaphor. It is the structure. The 240 root vectors of the E8 lattice define a highly symmetric spinor manifold. We drive this manifold at 132 hertz, a frequency derived from the natural torsion oscillations of the system.
