The Relational Dynamics of Grace: Mary's Universal Motherhood as a Theological and Systemic Catalyst

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This article analyzes the spiritual motherhood of Mary from a joint theological and relational perspective, focusing on the cosmic mandate of the Cross (Jn 19:26–27) and the apparent alteration of the divine timeline at the Wedding at Cana (Jn 2:1–11). We propose that Marian maternal intercession does not contradict divine immutability, but rather exemplifies a model of relational top-down causation and loving feedback loops within the economy of salvation. By integrating insights from systems theory and complexity sciences, this paper offers a rigorous conceptual framework for understanding how human freedom and maternal mediation interact dynamically with divine sovereignty.
