Frame-QL: An Introduction

Abstract

Frame-QL is a query language for declaring a governed analytical result. The requester names the analytical quantities to be returned, declares the final anchor at which the result frame should exist, and states conditions that shape the request, without prescribing the relational operations or physical commands used to produce the result. Version 2.2 aligns the Introduction with The Theory of Data, Version 6.1, and makes explicit the authority boundary between the Theory and the shipped Frame-QL/Columna implementation. It explains measure-family and anchored-measure identity, the distinct roles of expression-local @ and query-level AT, governed resolution and analytical adjudication, same-family reduction and new-family establishment, and Frame-QL's role as a bounded analytical-request interface for AI-assisted analytics.
