Chapter Zero: The Universe as Agreement

Open access0 citations

Abstract

*Chapter Zero: The Universe as Agreement* is the plain-language doorway into the Fundamental Dynamic Structures (FDS) programme. It presents the theory as one continuous conceptual story beginning with a finite premetric network of occupation and cyclic phase, from which physical space, relational time, matter, interactions, and observable propagation are investigated as emergent structures. The chapter explains the reversible closed sector and conditional reduced or settling sectors; topological winding as a candidate mechanism of persistent matter; the Maxwell–Boltzmann/Gibbs counting origin of the logarithmic free-energy module; the distinction between microscopic substrate locality and the emergent collective cone (“The Two Cones”); and the open programmes for gauge fields, graph geometry, inertia, vacuum fluctuations, enriched fermion matter, the thermodynamic arrow, cosmology, and Cyclomathematics. The presentation is deliberately nontechnical but not unqualified. A claim-status guide distinguishes formalized or conditionally derived results, finite-model numerical support, programme hypotheses, and open foundations. The chapter does not claim a completed photon, universal Lorentzian kinematics, Maxwell or Einstein dynamics, a derived particle spectrum, quantum composition, or a quantitative cosmology. Its purpose is to give new readers an accessible map of the ontology while directing technical claims to the published FDS Umbrella and companion corpus.
