Abstract
Abstract Two cesium oxidometalate hydroxides were synthesized by hydrolysis of the respective cesium oxidometalates. Cs 5 [CrO 4 ][OH] crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C 2/ m with a = 7.8534(4) Å, b = 11.5276(7) Å, c = 12.8187(7) Å, β = 106.346(3)°, V = 1,113.58(11) Å 3 , Z = 4 and is isotypic to Rb 5 [SiO 4 ][OH]. Cs 5 [GeO 4 ][OH] crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P 2 1 / c with a = 12.9057(6) Å, b = 11.4730(5) Å, c = 19.1786(8) Å, β = 127.812(2)°, V = 2,243.4(2) Å 3 , Z = 2 and has a close relation to the Cs 10 [GeO 4 ] 2 [O] crystal structure type.
