Oral Mucous Patch in a Case of Secondary Syphilis: An Atypical Manifestation

Abstract

Known as the great imitator, syphilis can present in various ways, affecting multiple organs, including the oral mucosa, and mimicking different diseases, making diagnosis challenging for clinicians. Clinicians should consider secondary syphilis in the differential diagnosis of ulcerative and/or white oral lesions. One case with a white patch in a case of secondary syphilis is mentioned here.
