How to Verify the GTCS. A Procedural Guide for the General Theory of Cognitive Structuring

Abstract

This document provides a procedural guide for external verification of the Version 2.0 General Theory of Cognitive Structuring (GTCS) corpus. It specifies how to move from a verification question to the document that actually owns the relevant term, dependency, formal signature, result statement, proof route, status judgment, boundary, or public claim. The procedure separates source identification, terminology and object identity, dependency and ownership, formal typing and definedness, exact claim or result comparison, proof or derivation review, status and transfer-ceiling checks, synthesis integration, and review recording. It also defines controlled review outcomes and stop or escalation conditions for cases in which a source is unavailable, a partial map is undefined, or two authoritative records do not agree. The procedure is not itself an evidence source. Completing the steps does not create a proof, validate the theory empirically, or permit a verifier to replace an owner source with a summary document. Its function is to make external review reproducible while preserving the direction from authority to evidence to bounded review outcome.
