The forgotten organ: An ontological theory of fat deposition.

Abstract

This paper describes adipose tissue not as an energy storage medium, but as a distributed processing organ that protects the body from toxic overload. When too many carbohydrates and fats enter the bloodstream simultaneously, a concentration is created that the body cannot immediately eliminate. The adipose tissue reacts instantly: adipocytes extract the excess substances from the blood and convert them into a solid form to protect blood vessels and organs from poisoning. This organ is almost as large as the skin, yet lies invisibly beneath it, extending throughout the entire body, including the face, the last protective region before the brain. The abdomen and buttocks serve as natural storage sites, while fat on the hands, arms, and face marks the emergency zones where the body absorbs acute overload. The liver steps in as a secondary emergency system when the fatty organ is overwhelmed, but it cannot break down fat and also stores it – a process that leads to fatty liver. This paper demonstrates that fat is not an energy storage organ, but rather a dynamic detoxification organ. The geometric view of mainstream medicine misses this function, while process-oriented ontology reveals the fat organ as a vital protective system. 8 pages.
