Mold-Making Resins for Indirect Manufacturing — the 3Dresyns IM Family
Open access0 citations
Abstract
This white paper covers mould-making resins for indirect manufacturing through the 3Dresyns IM family, including moulds, inserts, masters and sacrificial or reusable tooling routes. Indirect AM separates the printed tool from the final material. The printed resin must therefore be selected according to mould temperature, stiffness, removal route, chemical resistance, compatibility with the cast or injected material, and downstream post-processing. Sacrificial, reusable and soluble mould workflows require different validation logic.
