Hydra-Flux Operational Addendum (Variant G: Enhanced Geothermal Systems)

Abstract

The foundational Hydra-Flux Technical Memorandum (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19096522) established a universal "Modular Platform for Subsurface Energy Extraction". Building upon this broad scope, the Hydra-Flux Master Compendium (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19699052) formalized the integrated architecture that treats extraction primarily as a controlled geomechanical process, utilizing phase conformance and progressive volume replacement across distinct reservoir archetypes. While the baseline operational sequence (T0-T4) was initially demonstrated to resolve the geomechanical collapse of methane hydrate deposits, the underlying cyber-physical architecture was deliberately designed to be domain-agnostic from its inception. This operational addendum formally extends the Master Compendium's variant logic to establish Variant G: Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS). By inverting the thermodynamic vectors, the architecture resolves the two fatal flaws of contemporary geothermal extraction: induced seismicity driven by brute-force hydraulic fracturing, and premature thermal short-circuiting within the crystalline fracture network.
