AGN Reference Fields: finding charts and comparison-star sequences for optical AGN monitoring
Abstract
AGN Reference Fields is a citable reference dataset for differential optical photometry of active galactic nuclei. Version 1.0 contains finding-chart information and local comparison-star sequences for Mrk 42, IC 5287, and Mrk 845, based on IAC80/CAMELOT2 observations. The archive provides J2000 coordinates of the AGN targets and comparison stars, APASS DR9 V-band catalogue photometry, observing metadata, and machine-readable tables in CSV and JSON formats. It also includes a static snapshot of the accompanying interactive web resource. The comparison stars were selected and tested for use in differential photometry in the corresponding observing analyses. The resource is intended to make the reference-star sequences easily reusable for future optical monitoring of these AGNs without requiring extraction of the information from individual journal articles. Additional AGN fields may be added in future versions.
