Open access0 citations
Abstract
This document describes the scope, methodology, source criticism, access conditions, and versioning principles of the Golan/Jawlan Oral History Corpus (PRHP-GJ), a component of the Palestinian Rural History Project. As of August 2026, the corpus comprises approximately 500 oral-history interviews concerning more than 140 Golan/Jawlan villages and localities. It documents historical geography, rural settlement, landholding, migration, material culture, collective memory, displacement, and the subsequent histories of displaced communities, while integrating oral testimony with documentary, cartographic, archaeological, geographical, and other comparative evidence.
