Quantum Laws of Form: Consolidation, Open Questions, and Extensions

Abstract
George Spencer-Brown's Laws of Form (1969) proposed that the act of drawing a distinction is the primitive operation from which logic, mathematics, and physics can be constructed. This consolidation paper (v2.0) synthesizes the known quantum-Laws-of-Form correspondences — including the Temperley-Lieb algebra, knot invariants, and Fibonacci anyons via Kauffman — identifies seven categories of open problems, and proposes four extensions: ultrametric distinction hierarchies, no-cloning as distinction conservation, compound distinctions for multipartite entanglement, and continuous re-entry to geometric phase.
