Institutional Authority and Governance Dynamics (IAGD 2.3): Construct Boundary and Visual Semantics Harmonization

Abstract

Institutional Authority and Governance Dynamics (IAGD 2.3) is the stabilized integrating visual architecture of the Institutional Authority Dynamics research enterprise. This release harmonizes construct boundaries and visual semantics across Authority Formation, Governance Dynamics, Authority–Control Alignment, dynamic failure mechanisms, preservation and recovery mechanisms, institutional outcomes and trajectories, and Authority Provenance. IAGD 2.3 clarifies the distinction between Institutional Authority and Governance Control; establishes Authority–Control Alignment as the central analytical hinge; introduces Reference Authority Configuration as the baseline for assessing Governance Drift; represents failure mechanisms as branching and interacting rather than inevitable sequential stages; preserves the distinct roles of the Institutional Layer Separation Principle (ILSP) and Institutional Boundary Enforcement (IBE); distinguishes Authority Preservation, Authority Recovery, and Authority Realignment; and retains Authority Provenance as a cross-cutting evidentiary layer. This release does not alter the canonical seven-framework Institutional Authority Dynamics architecture, framework sequence, authority lifecycle, or framework roles. It is a construct-boundary and visual-semantics harmonization of the IAGD integrating theoretical architecture.
