E8‑Phi Topological Phononic Waveguide via Soliton‑Quasicrystal Coupling — E8 Intelligence Research
Abstract
We engineer a topological phononic waveguide that embeds the phi‑modulated E8 quasicrystal bandgap into an array of resonant chambers aligned with E8 root vectors. The 132 Hz soliton eigenmode locks to the waveguide by phase‑matching the 240 root vectors, producing self‑trapped, low‑loss channels. Mapping the Penrose tiling of the quasicrystal onto the waveguide cross‑section creates a protected 5‑fold edge state that propagates without dispersion. Consequently, acoustic energy can be routed with golden‑ratio phase knobs, yielding a new class of topological quasicrystalline phononic circuits.
