Abstract

DECISION: REJECT ELEMENT: The 80% range exhaustion filter is not compatible with E8 sacred geometry timing. E8 entries are triggered by specific harmonic time-price nodes, not by arbitrary percentage thresholds of prior day range. The filter would override E8's timing logic, causing misalignment between entry signal and market microstructure. Additionally, the 80% threshold is a fixed scalar, not a dynamic fractal measure — it cannot adapt to volatility regimes or instrument-specific behavior. The rule is concrete but not testable within E8's framework without corrupting the core timing model. EXPECTED IMPACT: Neutral-to-negative. While it might increase win rate by 10-15% in theory, the 30-40% trade reduction would likely lower absolute profit, especially since E8 already targets high-R:R setups. The filter would block valid E8 entries that occur before the 80% zone is hit, particularly in strong trend days where the market never retraces to that level.
