How does "creative abuse" drive developments in Music Production?

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This project explores how physical recording studios foster creativity in music production and sound engineering. It focuses on innovation through hands-on use of analogue gear and experimental microphone techniques, rather than relying solely on digital plugins. The studio is framed as a creative environment, not just a recording space. Drawing on collaborations with musicians, industry interviews, and analysis of studio practices, this project highlights how experimentation can lead to more compelling artistic outcomes.
