FHAT Technical Note #008AR: Real-Time Execution Reconciliation of TN008A — A Defense-First Case Study (SOXL, August 17, 2026)

Open access0 citations

Abstract

Real-time execution reconciliation of FHAT Technical Note #008A against the full August 17, 2026 regular session for SOXL (Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares). The session ran from TN008A's frozen USD 147.92 precondition low to a USD 156.924 high before closing at USD 151.670 (+4.64%). This note documents FHAT's defense-first execution discipline as applied in practice: two defensive buy limits placed below the market (USD 148.50 at the open, USD 150.80 after price reached USD 153.87) went unfilled by design; a marginal breakout at USD 152.74 and the eventual advance to USD 156.924 were both deliberately not chased, on the stated basis that reward-to-risk deteriorates into a resistance-dense zone without a corresponding pullback. Only one intraday position was opened, entered late in the session and closed before the 16:00 EDT close rather than held overnight. Across August 14–17, five completed round trips are logged from the author's real-money order history, all profitable (USD 45.96 total realized, 3.0%). The note also archives the day's intraday money-flow ratio time series (peak +70.1%, decaying to near-parity by the close), resistance-field test log (USD 155.13 cleared), and a push-morphology comparison against a prior event-driven session, applying the retracement (r, L) classification and six-item Precondition Checklist formalized in the companion FHAT PCD methods paper.
