The Great Pyramid of Giza: A Forensic Engineering Analysis of Construction Methods
Abstract
This technecial memorandum presents a forensic engineering examination of the construction of the Great Pyramid of Giza. It evaluated the surviving structure as physical evidence and examines construction requirements involving geometry and dimensional control, structural behavior, material handling, heavy-stone placement, construction sequencing, and logistics. The analysis distinguishes observed evidence and established facts from engineering inference and hypothesis. Its purpose is not to claim a definitive reconstruction of the ancient construction method, but to identify engineering constraints, test proposed methods against those constraints, and develop questions and hyposteses that can be evaluated against archeological and physical evident.
