Making Visible Through Repetition: Reproducibility, Perception, and Situated Experience in Litote & Hyperbole

Abstract

Third article of the Litote & Hyperbole trilogy. Shifts the question from the face to the conditions of its exhibition. Examines what happens when the same video material is actualized across different spatial and perceptual configurations. This article examines what occurs when identical video material is actualized in different spatial configurations: the vis-à-vis installation, the Screen Cube, and the Carousel. These dispositifs do not necessarily modify the material itself, but transform the relations between image, space, body, and spectator. Distinguishes three levels: the reproducibility of the material, the reiteration of the protocol, and the singularity of situated actualization.
