Nurse Joker is hypercorrect at the level of professional legibility, but radically incorrect at the level of care ethics. His performance reveals nursing not as an essence but as a historically gendered, aesthetic, ritualized, and biopolitical arrangement of signs: uniform, mask, badge, clock, hygiene, bedside intimacy, calm speech, and patient autonomy.
