Oceans as vortex electromagnetic machines: El Niño, the Gulf Stream and the circulation of the Atlantic

Abstract

Developed within the interdisciplinary framework of The Reconceptualization Epoch project, this paper introduces a radical electrodynamic and natural-philosophical model of global ocean circulation. The author deconstructs conventional hydrodynamic paradigms, proposing that major oceanic cycles be understood as giant planetary standing waves and distributed toroidal electromagnetic windings (“magnetic rods”). The study consistently argues for the primacy of endogenous factors and intra-planetary currents in transferring energy from the Earth’s interior to its hydrosphere and atmosphere. Under the tenets of the author’s time-spatial determinism, a novel physical rationale is provided for key paradoxes of the global ocean. The phenomenon of the quasi-periodic El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in the Pacific is modelled for the first time as a macroscopic horizontal “vortex-flux machine”. Applying Bernoulli’s principle and the mechanism of mutual shielding between heterogeneous fluxes, the paper re-evaluates the nature of oceanic thermoclines, Rossby waves, submarine waterfalls, and the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC). Finally, the model offers long-term prognostic assessments, defining hydrothermal triggers in the Arctic and the Sargasso Sea (the Bermuda Triangle) as indicators of impending geomagnetic inversion processes.
