MODEL ADOPTION #978: REJECT — LEDGER BENCH: Apply filter: USDCHF SHORT @ NY_OPEN with 5 conf — improves win rate from 31 — E8 Intelligence Research

Abstract

DECISION: REJECT ELEMENT: The rule "USDCHF SHORT @ NY_OPEN with 5 conf" is rejected because it is a time-window filter, not a geometry-timing edge. E8-node/Gods-Clock rhythm logic already defines entry timing via fractal phase, not wall-clock windows. Adding a fixed UTC window (NY_OPEN) introduces a regime-dependent bias that will break when the Gods-Clock phase aligns with a different session. The 32.5pp improvement is likely a small-sample artifact (n=67) and the backtest period may coincide with a favorable seasonal pattern for USDCHF shorts at that hour. The live rejection of a valid win (0.81212 entry) confirms the filter would discard profitable E8-aligned entries. EXPECTED IMPACT: Win rate on USDCHF SHORT would appear to rise in the short term, but trade frequency drops and the model loses the ability to capture high-volatility entries outside NY_OPEN (e.g., London breakout, Asian session reversals). Net profit over 6 months is likely neutral or negative due to missed winners. Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK. Part of the E8 Intelligence Research series.
