The Unified Spatial and Harmonic Field: A 3D Tensor Extension of the Golden Ratio, Metallic Means, and the Emergence of Spatial Pitch System

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This research paper generalizes and extends the 3D tensor framework established in Namprasertkul (2026) to the broader family of Metallic Means (δ_p) and parallel convergent linear recurrence sequences (such as Lucas sequences and Pell numbers). By executing vector outer products across orthogonal spatial axes (u ⊗ v ⊗ w), this paper demonstrates the spontaneous self-emergence of a unified ratio field where the Irrational Ratio Family (φⁿ, δ_Sⁿ) and the Rational Ratio Family (3/2, 5/4, 7/4, 11/7, 25/24, 2ⁿ) harmoniously coexist within internal tensor coordinate intersections. Key Highlights: Emergence of Acoustic Harmonics: Demonstrates that natural microtonal acoustic overtones, such as the pure Harmonic Seventh (7/4) and Perfect Fifth (3/2), naturally emerge when applying Lucas sequence axes into the tensor field. The Silver Cuboid Geometry: Establishes the fundamental reciprocal Silver Cuboid (δ_S⁻¹ × 1 × δ_S¹ ≈ 0.4142 × 1.0000 × 2.4142) as an invariant volumetric spatial unit. Algebraic Semitone Mechanism: Identifies an internal step-interval ratio governed by (φ³)/4 ≈ 1.059016, closely aligning with the equal temperament semitone ratio (2¹/¹² ≈ 1.059463). 3D Volumetric Spatial Pitch Grid: Bridges the 2,000-year historical dichotomy between discrete acoustic pitch systems and continuous irrational geometry, proposing a formal 3D spatial pitch system for architecture and spatial acoustics
