The Mathematics of Going Blank: A Carlo‑Field Model of Cognitive Collapse Under Broad Prompt Pressure
Abstract
This work presents a complete Carlo‑Field subsystem modelling the cognitive blankness event that occurs when a human is asked an excessively broad question under social pressure. The document formalises the collapse of entropy, the loss of query gradient, the failure of retrieval dynamics, the exponential inhibition effect of pressure, and the resulting phase transition into a zero‑attractor cognitive state. The model integrates seamlessly with the Carlo Field and ReGenesis Engine, providing a mathematically rigorous account of how “I can’t think of anything” becomes a fully map‑able phenomenon. Acknowledgement: This research was unintentionally inspired by Jonathan, who, when asked to provide anything to map mathematically, produced nothing at all. That absence of an idea became the idea, and the resulting cognitive collapse was mapped in full.
