Time dilation is ontologically untenable

Abstract

This position paper presents three theses that reach deep into the structure of modern physics and are difficult to refute because they follow directly from the units and categories: 1. Time dilation is ontologically untenable. 2. Gravity has a daughter — intrinsic gravity — and has been mistreated. 3. Einstein's descendants produced category errors that distanced physics from its ontological basis. Lorentz died in 1904 and could not review or authorize the later reinterpretation of his formula as time dilation. The modern interpretation of the Lorentz formula as a time shift is therefore not based on Lorentz, but on a subsequent change in the purpose of his original coordinate transformation.
