The Entity That Forms Subjects (EFS): Ontological Status, Properties, and Place in the Hierarchy of Forms of Matter

Abstract

Title: The Entity That Forms Subjects (EFS): Ontological Status, Properties, and Place in the Hierarchy of Forms of Matter --- Important note: The title correctly translates as "The Entity That Forms Subjects" – not "Subjects Forming Entities". This is crucial: the entity is the source that generates subjects as projections, not the reverse. In previous works, it was established that information is projection, the subject is a necessary condition for information, and the subject itself is projection. These three theses form a logical chain leading to an inevitable question: if the subject is projection, what is the source of this projection? The present article introduces the concept of The Entity That Forms Subjects (EFS) – a hypothetical fundamental phenomenon that is the source of projection generating the subject and information. EFS is defined as an entity existing in a higher dimension or at a deeper level of the hierarchy of forms (F4–F7), irreducible to the subject. The name replaces the earlier "Thinking and Feeling Entity" (TFE), removing anthropomorphic assumptions in favor of a functional definition based on strict logical derivation. Based on the ten universal properties of the subject (perspective, boundary, activity, temporal extension, integrity, meaning-making, self-reference, distinction of important/unimportant, abstract operation, and multiplicity of forms), the article derives well-founded assumptions about the characteristics of EFS. It distinguishes EFS from God, soul, and Apeiron, and proposes a program for testing the hypothesis on falsifiability, with specific measurable parameters (Active Distinction Index, Projection Anomaly Index, Geometric Non-Randomness Coefficient, etc.) and decision criteria. A separate section responds to typical criticism: EFS is not "empty philosophy" but a testable construct, logically derived and empirically verifiable. If predictions fail, the hypothesis will be abandoned. The place of EFS in the 7FM hierarchy is determined; its relationship to the subject and information is discussed, along with its epistemological status – knowledge of EFS is possible only through its projections (the Echolot of Cognition). The article concludes with open questions and a diagram illustrating the logical chain: EFS → projection (GHP, G) → subject → perception → information.
