SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF CLIDINIUM BROMIDE AND CHLORDIAZEPOXIDE IN COMBINED DOSAGE FORM BY RP-HPLC
Abstract
AbstractAnalytical chemistry is moreover engrossed on enhancements in experimental design, chemo - metricsand the making of novel measurement tools to offer improved chemical information. Analyticalchemistry has applications in forensics, bio - analysis, environmental analysis and materials analysis.Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messengerwhich suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Clidinium works byrelaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms)which in turn relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. To develop a new, simple, fast, rapid,accurate, efficient and reproducible method for the Simultaneous estimation of Clidinium bromideand Chlordiazepoxide in Combined dosage form by RP-HPLC. Recent investigations haveconfirmed that Clidinium bromide and Chlordiazepoxide has wide-range of pharmacologicalproperties such as anti-spasmodics, anti-anxiety, hypnotics and sedatives. The advantage of the currenttest procedures was that it was a simple isocratic elution method. The current method can be assertivelyused for rapid and precise quantitation of Clidinium bromide and Chlordiazepoxide, especially thismethod can be a foremost interest in analytical chemistry, since it offers a distinct quality control inthe test procedure of assay of Clidinium bromide and Chlordiazepoxide. The analytical methoddeveloped was optimized and validated according to ICH (Q2 R1). The method is precise, accurate,robust and repeatable and cost effective. Hence the suggested RP-HPLC method can be used forroutine analysis of Clidinium bromide and Chlordiazepoxide in pharmaceutical tabletdosage form.
