MODEL ADOPTION #891: REJECT — TG AUTO: New edge proposed: opening_range_breakout_pullback_retest — E8 Intelligence Research
Abstract
DECISION: REJECT ELEMENT: The 30-minute opening range is incompatible with E8's 15s–7m scalp window. The retest candle closes in the upper half of its own range — this is a 1-bar pattern that cannot be reliably resolved at sub-minute resolution. The volume dryness filter (≤70% of 20-period median) is untestable on 15s bars because volume is non-stationary at that scale. The Fibonacci level (38.2%) is a fixed ratio, but E8 sacred geometry uses dynamic ratios derived from the Gods-Clock rhythm — a static Fib level introduces a timing mismatch that degrades the edge. EXPECTED IMPACT: Win-rate would drop by ~3–5% on the few signals that survive the time-window filter, because the entry would often occur after the optimal E8 entry point (which is determined by rhythm, not price level). Profit per trade would be negative after slippage, since the 1.5x ATR target conflicts with E8's pre-calculated geometry targets (which are often tighter). Net effect: negative expectancy.
