Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic Syndrome Risk Awareness in the Philippine Context: An Evolutionary Concept Analysis

Abstract

This preprint presents an evolutionary concept analysis of cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome risk awareness in the Philippine context. Using Rodgers’ evolutionary method, the analysis examines the development of the concept, its defining attributes, antecedents, consequences, and related concepts, drawing on contemporary literature in CKM health, health literacy, risk perception, illness representation, and Philippine health contexts. The analysis proposes CKM syndrome risk awareness as a multidomain, personally relevant, actionable, and temporally aware construct that develops and operates within a particular sociocultural and health-system context. The proposed conceptualization is intended to provide a foundation for future research, instrument development, and empirical testing. This manuscript is a preprint and has not undergone peer review.
