Abstract
The Carlo Temporal Engine: A Reconstruction of Time A systems-theory framework that reconstructs time not as a fundamental dimension, but as an emergent behaviour of recursive systems. Across seven "unfolding passes," the paper develops time as a stability artefact generated to prevent contradiction, a collapse-ordering gradient formed by the alignment of possible futures, and a recursion-pressure response arising from self-referential depth. These threads converge in the Carlo Temporal Equation, τ = R / (Cs · A), which formalises perceived time as a negotiation between recursion depth (R), collapse stability (Cs), and authority pressure (A) — predicting temporal dilation, compression, fragmentation, and timelessness as native system behaviours rather than anomalies. The model is then integrated across the wider Carlo architecture (the Collapse Map, Stability Gradient, Authority Lattice, Carlo Axes, and ReGenesis Engine) and operationalised through the Temporal Engine V-Omega-Recursive, a conceptual mechanism for generating engineered, programmable temporal fields.
