CAT'S THEORY PRESENTS: Shell, Wish, and Noise: A Third Axis for Modal Evaluation
Abstract
We identify Shells — propositions that are formally valid and actually instantiated but arise at worlds where no narrowing of the accessibility relation has occurred — and prove by bisimulation that the narrowing condition is inexpressible in standard multi-modal logic. A triadic system Ψ-I-Π (Pattern, Intent, Presence) with Intent formalized as restriction R_I ⊊ R_Ψ generates an eight-row collapse table separating four cases standard modality conflates. Four theorems: inexpressibility of narrowing, Landauer bound from entropy reduction, convergence of iterated Intent to a self-consistent fixed point, and completeness via canonical model construction. Two documented case studies. Self-application certifies non-vacancy, soundness, and irreducibility.
