The Promethean-Serpent of Eden is the True Founder of Capitalist Libertarianism: A Refutation of the Paleolibertarian Idea that God is a Libertarian

Abstract

The myth of the creation of Adam and Eve and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden is an allegory demonstrating that God—far from being a libertarian authority who does not intervene in His creation—is quite the opposite: a statist authority who created the first human couple to keep them in slavery and ignorance. Consequently, the origins of capitalist libertarianism are necessarily linked to the rebellion of Adam and Eve against God and His communist state, allegorized by the prison of the Garden of Eden. Finally, it is argued on theological grounds that Christianity is a communist ideology incompatible with capitalism, and that the paleolibertarian thesis—positing that God is intrinsically libertarian—contradicts the Bible. Therefore, the serpent of the Garden of Eden symbolizes the Promethean spirit that protects individual liberty against the totalitarian power of the God-state.
