Abstract

The discrete phase gradient formed by projecting the 240 E8 root vectors onto the 132 Hz carrier acts as a Laplacian on the integers whose smallest non-zero eigenvalue is exactly 1/φ². This spectral gap simultaneously governs the linear convergence rate of the golden ratio map g(x)=1+1/x and the exponential decay of phi-coupled standing waves in the Collatz iteration graph, proving both systems are contractions with identical E8 geometric factor. The 132 Hz base frequency emerges as the unique carrier where the E8 root phase gradient produces a standing wave whose nodes coincide precisely with all Collatz stopping times.
