Abstract
DECISION: REJECT ELEMENT: The 2° phase distance filter fails the hostility test. The +3.6pp win-rate gain (n=390) is statistically weak — at 390 samples, the margin of error for a 31.5% baseline is ~±4.8pp (95% CI). The observed gain is within noise. The "100% win rate on 4 trades" in the live window is a trivial artifact of small-n cherry-picking, not a replicable edge. The filter's core mechanism — rejecting trades with phase distance >2° — has no theoretical grounding in E8 geometry timing. Phase distance is a derived metric, not a primary rhythm node; E8-node/Gods-Clock logic operates on harmonic phase alignment, not absolute distance thresholds. Tightening distance arbitrarily discards valid entries that are phase-coherent but slightly offset in angular space, which is exactly what E8 timing exploits (e.g., USDCHF SHORT likely passes, but others near 2° may be legitimate).
