Richmond Crown in the Digital Era: A CAD/CAM Based Monolithic Approach for Rehabilitation of Endodontically Treated Teeth

Abstract

AbstractRestoring endodontically treated teeth with extensive structural loss remains a complex clinical task. The Richmond crown, an early single unit restoration combining post, core, and crown, was developed to address such situations. With advancements in digital dentistry, this concept has been refined using CAD/CAM technology to produce monolithic all ceramic restorations. This article describes the clinical workflow and highlights the advantages of this modern approach in (1,3) achieving improved esthetics, accuracy, and functional outcomes.
