The Majorana Nature of the Neutrino
Abstract
This treatise continues the topological derivation begun in the work on the non-existenceof the Z′ bosons (Supplement X, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20834468). There the same causalstructure yielded a negative prediction - no fourth gauge group. Here it yields a positiveone: the neutrino is its own antiparticle. Both statements follow from the same frameworkP(4,2) = 12. The lepton number is shown to be a non-topological quantity, while the baryonnumber remains topologically protected; the difference is exactly that between thehomotopy classes ℤ₃ and ℤ₂. From this the Majorana nature of the neutrino followscompulsorily. The neutrinoless double beta decay sought by the LEGEND-1000 experimentis therefore a direct test of this prediction. New statements are marked NEW, proofs closedwith ■. Sources appear as DOIs directly beside the equations.
