Algorithmic Domestication and Existential Outsourcing: The Atrophy of Intention and the Emergence of Neo-Feudal Sovereignty

Abstract

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) rapidly surpasses human capabilities in cognitive execution, technicalsynthesis, and strategic planning, contemporary academic discourse remains largely preoccupied witheconomic displacement, workforce automation, and algorithmic alignment. This paper proposes anovel socio-philosophical framework termed Existential Outsourcing to address the deepercivilizational transformation underway. We argue that the primary existential threat of the AI era isnot physical subjugation or mechanical extinction, but voluntary psychological domestication. Asindividuals systematically delegate choice, existential inquiry ("Why to live"), and risk-bearingresponsibilities to predictive algorithms—sustained by state-provided Universal Basic Income (UBI)and hyper-personalized digital entertainment—the human capacity for primary intention undergoesprofound atrophy.
