Informaciology: Ontological Foundations, the Subject, and Information in the Hierarchy of Forms of Matter

Abstract

This article presents an updated version of informaciology — a cross-cutting discipline studying information processes in all forms of matter within the framework of the "Seven Forms of Matter" (7FM) model and the Theory of Unification of Physics, Biology, Civilizaciology, Informaciology and Ontology (GUT). The first version (22.02.2026) introduced the discipline's structure and systems of units but lacked an ontological foundation and did not answer the questions: what is information, who uses it, when and why does it arise? The updated version fills these gaps. Information is defined as a projection — a mapping of more fundamental structures onto the "screen" of perception or communication, accessible to a subject within a chosen level of description G. The central concept of the subject is introduced: information is always "for someone"; without a subject, there are only structures and differences, but not information. Subjects form a hierarchy corresponding to the forms of matter (F1–F7): from physical systems to hypothetical higher forms of intelligence. The G principle becomes a meta-parameter determining accessible information at each level. A clear distinction is drawn between classical information theory (syntax) and informaciology (semantics + pragmatics + ontology). The article preserves all key achievements of the first version: the discipline's structure, the BioMU and Cognitium systems, the Semantic Quantum (SQ), and the concepts of Hierarchical Information Immunity (HII), Disinformation Loop Circuit (DLC), and cognitive stratification. Ethical and social aspects are added, including countering disinformation. The work is hypothetical in nature, open to criticism, and addressed to physicists, biologists, philosophers, and methodologists of science.
