Customized Abutments In The Posterior Maxilla: Precision For Long-term Success
Open access0 citations
Abstract
AbstractThe posterior maxilla presents unique anatomical and biomechanical challenges for implant supported restorations, including poor bone quality, high occlusal forces, and compromised implant angulation. Customized abutments have emerged as a reliable solution to address these limitations. This article reviews the clinical significance, advantages, fabrication methods, and material considerations of customized abutments in the posterior maxillary region, highlighting their role in improving functional outcomes and peri-implant tissue health.
