Good Soil Equals Good Food

Abstract

<p>This resource provides a detailed lesson plan and infographic written for AP Environmental Science and has a research and lab phase.  During the research phase students explore where and how their favorite food is grown and/or produced extending to packaging and transportation to the marketplace.  During the lab phase students analyze soil samples for pH and classify using the soil texture triangle.  In conclusion the content is connected to crop yield and soil conservation is evaluated comparing conventional and sustainable agriculture.      </p>
