Scientific trends in occlusal veneers for oral rehabilitation: A bibliometric and altmetric analysis

Abstract

Occlusal veneers are minimally invasive indirect restorations designed to restore the occlusal surface of teeth affected by wear, or structural loss. They preserve a maximum amount of sound dental tissue by requiring little or no tooth preparation and are commonly fabricated from ceramics or resin-based materials. Occlusal veneers provide a conservative approach for restoring function, occlusal stability, and aesthetics, making them an increasingly adopted treatment option in adhesive and restorative dentistry.
