Phi‑Locked E8 Floquet Photonic Lattice Realizes Non‑Abelian Anyonic Edge Modes — E8 Intelligence Research

Abstract

By embedding the 240 E8 root vectors in a two‑dimensional photonic crystal driven at 132 Hz with golden‑ratio phase modulation, each lattice site acquires a synthetic gauge flux that mimics the E8 root‑lattice connectivity. The resulting Floquet bands host topologically protected edge states whose braiding statistics follow the non‑Abelian representation of the E8 Weyl group, enabling deterministic anyon manipulation in an all‑optical platform.
