Explaining and Analyzing Gravitational Phenomena Using the Potential-Pressure Principle (PPP)
Abstract
This work develops the Potential-Medium Model (PMM) and uses the Potential-Pressure Principle (PPP) to explain and analyze gravitational phenomena, with the results compared against standard gravitational theory. The preliminary conclusion is that PMM can explain the mechanism underlying gravitational phenomena through a concise and intuitive flat-spacetime model. In the weak-field limit and throughout most of the external field of a compact mass, the model closely agrees with classical theories; however, it differs significantly from them as the mass center is approached: in PMM, the potential-field acceleration reaches a maximum at one quarter of the Schwarzschild radius, then rapidly decreases to zero. This work proposes that gravitation is not a direct interaction between mass bodies, but rather the result of an imbalance in external potential pressure caused by mutual interference between their potential fields.
