ELS Framework: A Conceptual Thought Experiment Note on Energy Transitions and State Changes 2

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This research note presents a conceptual thought-experiment framework for exploring possible relationships among electron-photon interactions, energy transitions, changes in the states of matter, and the concept of time. The starting point of this work is the question of whether different physical phenomena exist as completely independent processes, or whether they may be connected through processes of state change and energy transition that appear at different scales. Within the ELS Framework, these relationships are examined from the perspectives of layered structures, environmental states, energy transitions, and particle degrees of freedom. In particular, the framework conceptually explores whether macroscopic physical quantities such as temperature, pressure, and density might be viewed not only as independent environmental conditions, but also as macroscopic expressions resulting from energy transitions and state changes within a system. The framework also asks what roles oscillation, phase, coherence, and energy distribution might play as particle-level state changes extend toward atomic, molecular, and macroscopic states of matter. The connections proposed in this research note are not intended to establish a verified theory or introduce new physical laws. Instead, the work starts from concepts and phenomena described by established physics and attempts to reconsider relationships across different physical scales, identifying areas where additional explanations may be required and presenting them as hypothetical perspectives. Accordingly, the contents of this document should currently be understood as thought experiments and conceptual hypotheses. Their validity would require further theoretical formalization and experimental investigation.\end{abstract}
