ELS Framework: A Conceptual Thought Experiment Note on Energy Transitions and State Changes 1
Abstract
This research note presents the ELS Framework, a conceptual thought-experiment framework for exploring the relationships among electron-photon interactions, energy transitions, changes in material states, environmental conditions, and time. This work does not aim to reject or replace established laws or theories of physics. Instead, it examines whether phenomena observed at different physical scales may be connected through common structures involving energy transitions and changes of state. In particular, the framework explores, from a hypothetical perspective, how environmental conditions, degrees of freedom, oscillation, phase, coherence, and energy distribution may be related as microscopic state changes extend into atomic, molecular, and macroscopic material states. It also considers whether these state changes and their interactions with the environment may be related to the perception of time and to changes in macroscopic physical quantities. The new connections and interpretations presented in this document are not claimed as established physical theories. They are intended to be compared with existing concepts in physics and to provide questions and hypotheses for future examination. The ELS Framework is therefore defined not as a completed theory, but as an ongoing thought experiment and research note for observing and connecting relationships between microscopic state changes and macroscopic environments across different physical scales.
