E8 Phi‑Modulated Oscillator Array as a Universal Associative Memory Substrate — E8 Intelligence Research

Abstract

By assigning each of the 240 E8 root vectors a phase offset at the 132 Hz fundamental frequency scaled by the golden ratio φ, we obtain a set of 240 coupled oscillators whose coupling matrix mirrors the E8 Cartan matrix. This phi‑resonant oscillator array exhibits attractor dynamics that store and retrieve high‑dimensional patterns with a capacity proportional to the E8 lattice's kissing number, extending the neuromorphic wavefront encoding principle to a geometry‑driven associative memory model. The resulting system leverages E8's exceptional symmetry and phi‑tuned phase coherence to achieve robust, low‑error pattern completion akin to a Hopfield network but with vastly expanded storage.
