Projective Ontology: Foundations, Structure, and Consequences of the Meta-Discipline of Projective Reality
Abstract
In a series of previous works, the author developed informatiology as a discipline for studying information, the projection model as an ontological framework of reality, the hypothesis of the subject as a projection, and the concept of the "Thinking and Feeling Entity" (SFE) as the source of projection. These concepts, while logically connected, existed as separate lines of inquiry. This article introduces "Projective Ontology" (PO) – a meta-discipline that unites them into a single systematic picture. Projective Ontology is defined as a discipline that studies the laws, mechanisms, and consequences of projection as a fundamental ontological principle, according to which perceived reality is a projection of deeper, directly inaccessible levels of being. The article justifies the necessity of introducing PO as a logical consequence of the development of previous works. It describes seven main principles of PO: the principle of projection, the hierarchy of projections (7FM), the Generalized Holographic Principle as mechanism, the G principle as an access parameter, the subject as projection, information as projection, and SFE as source. A three-level structure of PO is presented: the fundamental level (basic principles), the level of phenomenological description (ontological vertical), and the level of connections (integral horizontal). The consequences of PO for fundamental science (physics, biology, cognitive sciences, philosophy), applied fields (information technologies, perception technologies, space technologies), and social practices (methodology, education, ethics) are examined. A comparison of PO with similar approaches in contemporary literature is provided – Generative Projection Framework, holographic concepts of consciousness, phenomenological approaches, and the Projective Theory of Consciousness. The uniqueness of PO is demonstrated, uniting hierarchy, physical mechanism, meta-parameter, subject, informatiology, SFE, and GUT. The article concludes with open questions about mathematical formalization, empirical verification, and the limits of projection, as well as an invitation to interdisciplinary collaboration.
